IOQM past papers
The official IOQM papers, with their answers, are free on HBCSE’s past papers page. We link to them rather than copy them. Below: where each one lives, how to use them in the last months, and three practice sets Kiwimath wrote in the same style, which you can try on this page.

How to use them
- Save them for the last months. Start four to six months out, one paper every two weeks.
- Sit them like the real thing. Three hours in one sitting. Mark out of 100 with the real split of marks.
- Redo every miss. Before reading the solution, try each missed question again without a clock. Then write one line on what went wrong.
- Bank the first twenty. The last ten questions are worth half the marks, so accuracy early buys time for them.
Kiwimath’s IOQM-style sets
Our own questions, written in the IOQM style and checked in our September 2026 content check. Each set has ten, from warm-up to harder, across algebra, number theory, geometry and counting, and every answer is a whole number from 0 to 99. They are practice, not past papers. Answers are marked on this page and nothing is sent anywhere.

Questions parents ask
Can I download IOQM past papers from Kiwimath?
No. The papers belong to the people who set them, so we link to HBCSE’s page, where they are free, rather than keep copies here.
Are Kiwimath’s sets real IOQM questions?
No. They are Kiwimath’s own questions, written in the same style: a whole-number answer from 0 to 99 and no options to choose from. Use them to warm up, and the official papers for timed practice.
When should my child start on past papers?
In the last four to six months before the paper. Earlier, a past paper teaches the format more than the maths; the year before is for building the four areas. A preparation plan by class.
Level 5 is the IOQM level
Practice that picks each problem for your child, with hints in steps and full solutions. For Class 9 and 10, or anyone preparing for IOQM.
