Who makes Kiwimath
Kiwimath is made by Anand Prakash, in India. It started at home, with a problem most parents will recognise: his child was ready for harder maths than school gave, and he couldn’t teach it himself.
Why it exists
Anand’s wife wanted proper maths assignments for their child, the kind that stretch a bright mind. Anand looked at olympiad maths and saw the gap: he could not teach it himself, and most parents can’t either.
So the product has to be the expert. Kiwimath teaches each idea first, picks every problem at the edge of what your child can do, gives hints instead of answers, and shows the parent plainly how their child is growing. The same route runs from a first Class 1 puzzle to the International Mathematical Olympiad, so a child never outgrows it.
How the questions are made and checked
We want you to know exactly what your child is working on.
- The question bank has thousands of olympiad and Kangaroo-style problems. Much of it was drafted with the help of AI tools, then checked.
- Answer keys are checked by machine and by people. We fix or remove questions we can’t stand behind.
- In September 2026 we checked the whole olympiad bank again. Every question we now serve passed that check; the ones that did not were repaired, held back or removed.
- The sample problems on this site are chosen from questions Kiwimath owns, with a valid answer key and hints that fit the question.
- Every question in the product has a “Report a problem” button, and reports come to us.
If you spot a mistake anywhere, please tell us. It is the fastest way to make Kiwimath better for every child.
